It’s been a tragic day today, very tragic in effect. As I stepped into the office today morning I was thunder-bolted by the news of the demise of a close friend, manager (former) and mentor Vasu. Making the news more tragic is the fact that it was a road accident that killed him, robbing us of a very good human being untimely. I just wanted to put together this as my tribute to a wonderful man who helped me in all the way that he could professionally and personally. We (talking on behalf of a couple of my friends here) all admired Vasu for the great human being and the manager he was. An energetic and dynamic guy who always wanted us to have good work-life balance and always encouraged us to do things the way we wanted.
Personally I had a forged a very close relationship with him, and it was just 2 days back I had a chat with him, where he mentioned about his trip to Western Ghats, little did we know that it would eventually be our last chat. He has been part of some good moments of my life and will always be there is in my memories. The little banter that we used to have as team mates and the relationship that we shared on and off office are something’s that cannot be erased forever. It indeed is a big blow for me since, as said it was not just friendly relationship that we shared, but I looked up to him as a mentor and he had been a guiding force for me during my professional moves and would have continued to do so, if not for this untowardly incident.
With a very heavy heart and moist eyes, I would like to sign off with the prayer
May His soul rest in peace. We will miss you Vasu, we will miss you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
